For the Love of Rock n' Roll and its Roots
The Cosmic American is in love with rock n’ roll and its roots: the music, the stories, the personalities, the variety. We share that love via articles, reviews of albums and live shows, interviews, and radio shows/podcasts.
We have a dual focus. One is on legends, the big personalities who have proven themselves through timeless music. The other is new bands that are making vital music. We especially want to highlight DIY and independent artists of all genres that are working hard to make it in an uncompromising, oversaturated music world.
What exactly is rock n’ roll and its roots? It’s difficult to pin down, so we basically don’t.
Our scope includes rock from its inception to today, country, blues, jazz, indie, alternative rock, and a smattering of rap, metal, and classical.
Simply, if you follow us, you’ll have a better taste in music.
